Marco Cesarini joined Santander in 2013 as Senior Banker.

Prior to joining Santander, Marco began his career at Rothschild in Milan. After a brief move to private equity within Management & Capitali, he joined BNP Paribas’ M&A execution team working in several cross-border transactions out of Paris, Milan and Hong Kong hubs.

He has 12 years of experience in Investment Banking. His track-record includes advisory roles for large corporates, such as: advisor to Chinese Minmetals Resources for the acquisition of Canadian Anvil Mining (US$1.3bn), advisor to Portuguese Cimpor for the defense of its interests against Brazilian CSN’s unsolicited offer (US$7.2bn), advisor to F2i for the acquisition of a 80% stake in Enel Rete Gas (US$2.0bn), advisor to Iride for its merger with Enìa (US$1.8bn), etc.

In 2010 and 2011 Marco has been teaching Corporate Finance in the Grande Ecole program at HEC Business School in Paris.

Marco graduated from Bocconi University in Law and Business Administration, holds a MSc in Management from Bocconi University and a Master’s degree in International Management from the Cems-RSM Rotterdam School of Management. Additionally he followed executive education at Harvard University.
